This reading night is the third in an ongoing series at backhaus, inviting people to share work around a theme. the series is aimed at shy writers in particular ~ anyone with half-finished poems in their notes app or a head full of opening sentences but nowhere to put them. Texts can be fact or fiction, personal or political, your own work or simply words you love.

Join us thursday 5th june for an evening of writings inspired by 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦 ⋆︎˚｡⋆ any and all interpretations of the theme welcome. daydreams and deliriums, the wild and the whimsical. Ideas dislodged from the subconscious or forged at the fringes of thought. the slippage between memories and imagination. the places your mind goes when you really let it.

The first half of the night will be dedicated to registered readers, the second half will be open mic. if you would definitely like space and time to read, please reach out to Madeleine (@madeleine.pollard) in advance. First time writers/readers encouraged ꨄ
