As we journey through the world, we inevitably leave traces of ourselves: strands of hair in the bristles of a brush, memories of us in the minds of those still living, our atoms dispersed across the galaxy. But can these remnants truly speak of us? Can they be curated or intentionally crafted? What, if anything, can we carry beyond the present moment? Drawing on her background in design and her fascination with language, Lena Manger (@lnmngr) takes inspiration from time capsules, utilising sound, imagery, and an anonymous personal log to generate an installation reminiscent of this format of attempted preservation. In an accompanying publication, other artists contribute personal responses to this theme, mirroring this shared urge to make thoughts and feelings tangible, and to reach others through them, to form a capsule of their own, to be distributed and dispersed.
